1. Program Overview:
An accredited professional and applied program extending over 3 months (62 accredited hours), aimed at providing English-language teachers and educational supervisors with modern teaching strategies for efficiently and professionally managing and teaching bilingual classrooms. The program covers the theoretical foundations of bilingual education and its approved models, mechanisms of second-language acquisition, educational applications of code-switching and translanguaging, strategies for teaching vocabulary and grammar and developing reading and writing across two languages, in addition to differentiated instruction, paragraph construction and textual cohesion, classroom management, continuous assessment methods, and positive interaction with the learner’s environment and community.
2. Key Objectives:
- Understanding the foundations and models of bilingual education: comprehending the linguistic and educational theories underlying bilingual education and the applications of transitional and simultaneous models.
- Employing second-language acquisition strategies: applying the latest cognitive methodologies to facilitate English-language acquisition among bilingual students while taking individual differences into account.
- Utilizing modern linguistic practices: managing and employing code-switching and translanguaging as educational tools that enhance understanding within the classroom.
- Developing reading, writing, and vocabulary skills: enabling teachers to build vocabulary and grammar and develop reading and writing skills (Literacy) and textual cohesion across both languages.
- Mastering classroom management and differentiated instruction: designing activities that accommodate varying levels of language proficiency and using assessment techniques to monitor student progress.
- Enhancing cultural responsiveness: building an inclusive and culturally responsive classroom environment that supports effective partnership with parents and the surrounding community.

5. Organizational Structure and Assessment System:
- Duration and sessions: 3 months (evening period), at a rate of two lectures per week, two hours per lecture = 48 interactive training hours.
- Language of study and delivery method: English | fully remote interactive training (Online).
- Distribution of accredited hours (62 hours):
· 48 hours: direct interactive online lectures.
· 6 hours: required and free readings and applied references.
· 4 hours: chapter questions and self-assessment.
· 2 hours: presentations and practical applications.
· 2 hours: final review and completion examination.
- Attendance and assessment requirements: attendance of no less than 75% of the direct lectures, and completion of periodic assignments and homework.
- Certificate and final project: the graduate is awarded a Diploma in Teaching English in Bilingual Classrooms after passing the electronic examination and the approved assessments.
